One Piece is a Japanese Anime series based on one of the most successful Manga comics ever made. With over 490 million copies sold in 43 countries, it was the best-selling Manga for 11 years running with a franchise income of $21 billion. The Anime series has produced almost 1,000 episodes since 1999 and is franchised all over the world, including Germany, broadcasting on TV channels Tele 5 and RTL II.
Novo Sonic has collaborated with a cast of German actors and singers to produce German versions of the One Piece songs. Focusing on the bombastic operatic style of the original, we cast the German voices and oversee singing production and dubbing. The success of these performances is found in the way we bring an authentic local sensitivity to emphasise the elements of the stories that will touch German kids while staying true to the feel of the original versions.
